We were just taking a well needed break (it was a really hot day!) on a day out to St Nectan’s waterfall near Tintagel in Cornwall. A lovely spot and well worth a visit if your in that area. Best of all the dogs can cool off in the waterfall.

So you might be wondering why create a website about Golden Retrievers when there are quite a few already online?

Well the site is the product of, retiring 3 years ago, finally breaking the back of the bulk of the DIY task list I had been set by my wife and Covid Lock Downs.

I decided I needed to be doing something more than I was to keep the grey matter working. I have to say it’s definitely made the brain work but its’ also been an enjoyable trip down memory lane looking through the many photos of our various dogs and remembering them and the things we did together.

Initially I thought the site might just be a collection of our experiences with Golden Retrievers but the more I worked on it the more the site evolved to pull in other areas such as the breed history, the health issues that can afflict the breed, the things to consider if your thinking about getting a Golden Retriever. Finally I thought it would be good to offer the opportunity for others interested  in Golden Retrievers to become contributors adding and sharing their knowledge and experience
